Day 21- Prayer For Missions

What an exciting moment it is to experience the lives of others around the world. There are different cultural lifestyles, different languages, and different faces. The same is so in our country in that we are surrounded by different nationalities and cultures. Most saddening of it all are not the cultural barriers, but that all do not know the truth as we do. Missionaries are dispensed throughout the world, but all are not aware of our sinful natures and the salvation that comes only through Jesus Christ.

Just image that all would come to know that Jesus saves. Your prayer today can change this world if you can only believe.

Acts 17:30-31

  1. I was watching the news this morning and apparently President Obama is getting all kinds of grief for not shutting down the Mexican border. Now, at first I was upset because I think about they want to blame him for things that are so out of his control. But it kinda ties in with our prayers for today: missions.....

As I was getting dressed, I thought to myself "what if he WERE to shut the Mexican border down??? What about all the americans that were there that needed to get home? What about all the Mexicans here that needed to get back to their families?

I think that the Swine Flu is a very real threat. However, is shutting down borders really the way to solve the problem? I think that in times of national or global crises, we all need to know and remember that we serve an awesome God. But how can we really expect and count on others to know that when they do not know about Jesus? If God had the power to raise Jesus after three days, is there any doubt in your mind that He can heal the sick??? We're blessed to know His power. We're blessed to know whose name to call when we need help. We're blessed to live in a culture and a society (no matter how corrupt it may be) where it's safe for us to learn and study and get close to the Lord. But everyone is not so blessed. Basically, my point is, as we pray for missions, let's be thankful that Barack did not close the border because maybe, just maybe, he knows that the solution is not in man's hands, but in the Almighty's.

    I believe.

I believe that my prayer can change the world.

And today, I prayer is that all will come to know Jesus and His salvation. I pray even for my own family members who rebel against Him and know not of His grace. I pray that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!

  2. To think that my thoughts and prayers can change the world, at one point in my life would have scared me and I would have run from it...but praises be unto God for growth. I truly believe that throughout the course of this time of prayer and fasting, God is making me into more of an intercessory prayer warrior and to know that my prayers can change the world, makes me smile. Because it means that God trusts me, God hears me & God is proud.
We all are prayer warriors. All our prayers can change the world if we believe.
